James' Pre-K Graduation

I have been so busy this summer already that I didn't have a chance to do a post about James' Pre-K Graduation. It is definitely hard to believe that my little man is already graduation from preschool and going onto Kindergarten, but as they say, "Time flies when you're having fun!" :-) I'm so proud of James' progress and know that he is going to do amazing in Kindergarten. I just hope they're are ready for him, because he is definitely a handful! Here's some photos of my little graduate:

End of Year Bike Rodeo

So last week was James' end of the year bike rodeo and party and I'm just now getting around to posting about it. It was slightly bittersweet since it will be his last bike rodeo at Northwood Pres. but he had a great time and I was able to capture some great photos. Next year it's on to the big kid bike rodeo at Northwood!

James all ready to begin!

Look at him go!

So determined!

Waiting his turn

So proud of him!

Jackson is 9 months old!

So my handsome little man is 9 months old today. I can hardly believe he is a mere 3 months away from being a year old! Time really does fly! He is an absolute joy and he definitely likes to keep me on my toes. About a week ago he had an accident in which he fell head first into the only stairs we have in the house (the tile ones in our bathroom). Of course I was a complete panicking mess, but Mike hurried home to calm me down. We rushed him to the emergency room and luckily he only needed the wound glued. I was terrified that he would need stitches. It is healing nicely and hopefully will only leave a small scar. So needless to say, he is now pulling himself up, crawling at the speed of light and getting into anything and everything he possibly can. It's such a fun age, but also a very nerve-wracking one. It makes it virtually impossible to get anything accomplished around the house because you must always have one eye on him. He's starting to say "mama" a lot more which melts my heart. Of course when I try to catch him saying it on video he immediately stops. Here's his stats:

Weight: 17 lbs. 15 oz.
Heights: 26.5 inches
Clothing size: 6-9 months
Diapers: size 3
# of Teeth: 4 (2 bottom, 2 top)
Feedings: 6 oz. bottle & 2-2.5 ounces of baby food every 4 hours, except early morning feeding which is an 8 oz. bottle with rice cereal in it.

We have also started to give him Gerber puffs since he now has 4 teeth in. We're still working on the fine motor skills of picking up the little puffs and getting them into his mouth, but he's getting better everyday! Hopefully by next month he'll be cruising and eating more solid food. I'm so in love with this little boy and incredibly proud to be his mother.

"Hello Ladies!"

I can't believe he's 9 months!

So serious!

1st time swimming (you can still see the glue on his cut)

Happy Baby!

Mommies Night Out

Last year a few of us moms started a monthly mommies night out, which has snowballed into a wonderful group of ladies. We get together once a month to drink wine, gossip and blow off some steam in a kid-free environment. Last night we had a wonderful time at Dana's home, which she graciously invited us into. We had a great time drinking wine, nibbling on the delicious food she made, playing Pictionary and gossiping to our hearts content. I truly look forward to hanging out with these awesome ladies every month and feel very blessed to have so many wonderful friends in my life.

Thundering Herd Season Wrap party

James had another exciting season of soccer with all of his friends and they have improved greatly. Even though we're not technically allowed to keep score in U5 soccer, ofcourse there are some of us parents that do and we were undefeated this season. The kids got so much better and really enjoyed playing every Saturday with their friends. James was one of their best defenders and even made quite a few goals himself. We wrapped up the season with dinner and a trophy ceremony at Purple Garlic with all of the parents. I am very proud of my little soccer player and look forward to another great season next year!

They are all such goofballs!

Mother's Day 2014

My boys gave me a wonderful Mother's Day this past Sunday and reminded me how wonderfully blessed I really am. The day started with me opening my wonderful presents from them, the Canon T5 Rebel and the beautiful fragrance Amarige by Givenchy. We then headed to church with my parents and followed it up with Mother's Day brunch at the club. But the fun didn't stop there...afterwards we joined our friends at the Byrds home for swimming and fun. All in all it was a wonderful day and I wouldn't change a thing. I feel so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends!
