Thanksgiving

It was James Michael's first Thanksgiving and the first time his Nanny and Poppy and Aunt Kate were able to meet him. It was very moving seeing Poppy turn into mush when he was holding James. We had a wonderful time with the family and look forward to many more holidays with all of the family.

James Michael has arrived!

So this is a little late, but James Michael has finally arrived. He is three weeks old today and I am still getting used to having him here. He is a wonderful addition to our family and I feel so blessed to have him in my life. As some of you may know, we had a little bit of a scare when he was born. He was born not breathing and had to spend three days in the NICU. Thankfully he recovered fully and was able to come home with us when we were discharged from the hospital.

I am so thrilled to be a mother and cannot even begin to explain how it feels. It is the most amazing experience I think that I will ever have (that is until the next one comes along :-)). I am really looking forward to watching James Michael grow and become a man...although I don't want that to happen too fast :-). He is an absolute joy. Here are some pictures of him. I will try and keep my blog more up to date with his milestones. Enjoy!

Nursery!

So we have been working on the baby's nursery and it has mostly come together. Here are some pictures...All we're missing is all of the baby stuff, which we'll hopefully get at the shower this weekend.

33 weeks

So, we're counting down the weeks. Only 6 more to go! Here is a picture of me at 33 weeks...can I possibly get any bigger?

Pregancy Progression

For fun, I thought I'd show some pictures of me turning into a whale

Pregnancy

As I mentioned, we are expecting our first child. It's a boy and he is due November 6, 2008. The pregnancy has actually gone quite well. I had very little morning sickness in the beginning and not that much discomfort. I actually couldn't ask for a better pregnancy. Although, I could do without the multiple potty visits during the night :-). I think that's just our bodies way of preparing us to get up many times during the night when the little one arrives. Here are some of the first baby pictures for your viewing pleasure...

It's definitely a boy!

The Beadles

Since this is our first post, I thought I would give a bit of background. Mike and I have been married for 3 1/2 years now. We were married in the beautiful San Fernando Cathedral in downtown San Antonio on March 12, 2005. After we got married we moved to Northern Virginia to work in the Washington, DC area. We have been living here ever since, but we are itching to get back to San Antonio as soon as possible. We plan on buying some land down there and building our dream house. It should be a lot of work, but it will be well worth it. We are expecting our first child. James Michael is due November 6, 2008. We are thrilled about becoming parents and can't wait for all of the adventures that will accompany parenthood. That's a bit about us...Enjoy!
